Andrew Magin
Andrew Magin is the sole director of Baker & Magin Valuers, having been employed in the valuation industry since 1979.
Andrew has lived and worked in Newcastle for his entire career and has extensive experience in the valuation of commercial, retail, industrial and residential properties in the Greater Newcastle – Hunter Valley region.
Andrew has been with Baker & Magin Valuers for over 35 years and during this time, his expertise has extended to the valuation of hotels, motels, clubs and other hospitality businesses. The valuation of going concern properties, including licensed premises, represents the backbone of Baker & Magin Valuers and it is conservatively estimated that over the past 35 years, more than 2,000 such valuations have been conducted. Valuations of going concern properties are undertaken in both the Sydney Metropolitan area and throughout regional and country New South Wales.
Valuations of commercial, retail, industrial and commercial premises are undertaken throughout the Greater Newcastle , Central Coast, Hunter Valley and Mid North Coast areas for a variety of purposes including first mortgage, family law, superannuation reporting, and more. Andrew also regularly carries out valuations of childcare centres in metropolitan and country New South Wales, with interests valued including freehold going concern, business, passive investment and rental valuations.
From the mid 1990’s to present, Andrew has been the sole valuer engaged by Centennial Coal in respect of their Mandalong coal mine. Centennial Coal has acquired approximately 100 properties within the Mandalong valley, and is now in the process of reselling some of these properties following the completion of coal extraction. Andrew is a Certified Practising Valuer (Business) and an Associate of the Australian Property Institute.
